About Ayoub
Curious about the universe, the ideas that shape our world, and the things we can create.

I'm Ayoub Khallok. I'm curious about how reality works, from the laws of nature and the history of the universe to the systems people build and the ideas that shape how we understand the world. I enjoy asking questions, following evidence, connecting concepts, and exploring subjects that at first seem unrelated.
I've never wanted to define myself by a single subject. I'm fascinated by the fact that the world can be explored from so many angles: through scientific observation, mathematical reasoning, philosophical questions, creative work, and the systems people build. The more I learn, the more I notice connections between fields, and the more questions appear.
Science especially captures my imagination because it offers a way to approach some of the biggest questions we can ask. How does the universe work? What are the laws behind the patterns we observe? How did the cosmos develop into what we see today? What can evidence tell us, what remains uncertain, and how do our explanations change when we discover something new? I'm drawn to the ambition of trying to understand reality at its most fundamental level, while respecting the difference between a compelling idea and a conclusion supported by evidence. I don't claim to have the answers. I want to keep asking better questions and learn to think about them more carefully.
That curiosity doesn't stop at science. I'm interested in mathematics, finance, economics, technology and programming, as well as design, writing, books and philosophy. I like understanding systems, breaking complicated ideas into clearer parts, looking for patterns, and discovering how one field can illuminate another. I also enjoy making things: building digital projects, experimenting with code, shaping a design, or writing an idea down until it becomes more concrete.
I care about both substance and presentation. An idea should be explored honestly, explained clearly, and shared in a way that invites other people to engage with it. I value evidence, clear reasoning, imagination, and the willingness to change my mind when I learn something new. I'd rather stay curious than pretend to have everything figured out.
This site brings those interests together. It's my personal archive for research, essays, notes, lessons, quotations, reading discoveries, experiments and projects. Some entries explore scientific ideas and fundamental questions; others focus on technology, finance, design, books or everyday observations. Some are polished pieces, others early thoughts worth revisiting. Over time, I hope it becomes a record of how my understanding evolves, and a place where you can discover something interesting, question an assumption, or follow a new line of thought. It isn't a finished portrait of who I am, but a record of curiosity in motion.
Learn widely. Think carefully. Build things worth sharing.
How I approach things
Ask the bigger question
I enjoy following curiosity beyond the obvious answer, whether it leads to the workings of the universe or the details of an everyday system.
Follow evidence and reason
I am interested in explanations that can be examined, questioned and improved. Wonder matters, but so does understanding what the evidence actually supports.
Connect different fields
Science, mathematics, philosophy, technology and creativity offer different ways of looking at a problem. I enjoy exploring where their ideas meet.
Make ideas tangible
I learn by reading, writing, testing, building, designing and revising. Working with an idea shows me what I understand and what I still need to learn.
Stay open to being wrong
Learning is not a checklist to complete. New information can change the way a question should be asked, or change the answer entirely.
Share what I discover
Writing an idea down helps me understand it more clearly. Sharing it gives others a chance to learn from it, question it or build on it.
Interests
The subjects I keep coming back to. Each one links to the related topic or shelf on this site.
- Science and the cosmosHow the universe works, how it came to be, and what evidence can tell us about it.
- Physics and mathematicsThe laws behind the patterns we observe, and the language used to describe them.
- Philosophy and big questionsWhat we can know, how to reason well, and how to live.
- Finance and economicsMarkets, money and the systems people build to make choices.
- Technology and programmingBuilding digital projects and experimenting with code.
- Design, books, writing and creative projectsShaping ideas until they are clear, and making things worth sharing.
