Ink and memory

“Ink is better than the best memory.”
Why it stays with me
This proverb is the reason this website exists. Memory feels reliable in the moment and fades quietly afterwards. A few weeks after reading a book, I often remember that it was good but not why.
Writing things down does two jobs. It keeps the idea, and it forces me to understand it well enough to put it in my own words. The second job is often the more valuable one.
So the library here is not a showcase. It is ink, kept on purpose, so that future me can find what present me thought was worth keeping.
Ayoub Khallok keeps this archive of essays, research, lessons and notes, written to understand things more clearly. More about Ayoub.
